International English Language Testing System is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test used for the purposes of higher education and global migration. The part of listening is divided into four sections and is comprised of ten questions per each section. Since listening is divided into four sections the first and second sections are mainly about every day and social situations while the third and the fourth are more educational and training type of situations.

The individual is given a short introductory explanation about a given situation. Based on the explanation recording the questions are followed through with the same order. Ten minutes are given to individuals taking the test so as to transfer their answers on an answer sheet.

Two tasks are subdivided in the part if writing in which individuals write a hundred and fifty words in twenty minutes and also write a two hundred and fifty words in forty minutes relating to the topic. When answers are not written in full sentences a penality is resulted. In the reading part its divided into three sections and has a variety of questions types. Identifying information, short answer question, identifying writer’s views, multiple choice, completing a summary using words from the text among others are the question types used.
